I have a long but simple tutorial to show you all how I created this art journal page using stamp sets Single and Savage along with #BeautifulMess, Boo Crew and Break Up.
First, I gesso-ed my pages just enough, making sure I could still see some text showing through. This is just a hard cover book from the Dollar Tree that I bought specifically to art in. The pages hold up well usually, but to make sure, I glued the pages behind to them to make them a bit sturdier.
Next I diecut a pattern from Sizzix in to a scrap of black cardstock.
I made sure to keep the diamonds that were cut incase I wanted to add them as well.
Next I went to work on my cards. They were slick and shiny, so yo make sure things would stick to them, I first sanded them. Front and back.
After that I went through this small dictionary (also from the Dollar Tree) and found two definitions that went with my pages theme. I used a glue stick in blotches on the card faces and stuck them to the backside of the definitions that I wanted to show.
I wanted to keep "royal" on this one and "heir" intact, so once they were dried completely, I gently tore back the rest of the page.
If parts came up that I didn't want to, I simply used the glue stick again to make sure that they wouldn't come up.
Next I figured out where on the page I wanted my cards and stamped the wreath from # BeautifulMess onto my background.
Then, I added hearts from the Break Up set to the background.
After that I grabbed the words Savage and Overqualified all over my background as well.
I love the ghost stamping over the faded out text!
To add some color to my background I sprayed it with glitter mists from Recollections in red and black, spraying water as well to get them to blend.
I dabbed up my first coat with a paper towel, then sprayed the page again, this time sprinkling salt and sugar on it to see what would happen.
I let this layer dry almost completely before I dabbed some pigment up.
I love they effect of the salt and sugar!
My cards were looking a little stark compared to the background so I grabbed some ink and distressed them a bit.
Then I stamped out my quote and heat embossed it onto grey cardstock.
To give my Queen a little more emphasize I went back to the #BeautifulMess set and heat embossed her a flower crown in silver.
After that I tore up my diamond diecut and glued it around the edges of my spread. I adhered my cards toy background but wanted them to stand out more so I went around them first with a paint pen, but that looks too neat. So next I tried using a shimmery brust pen in black, but the color kept pooling up. So lastly I tried these metallic paint sticks from Daiso and smeared it around the two cards.
I wanted the cards to feel like they were being overtaken by the page so I went to the diecut diamond that I saved and glued them around the cards.
I wanted a little extra something on the background and to spread out some silver so I embossed a few little leaves from the #BeautifulMess around the page.
I grabbed "Stay" from Boo Crew and Savage from Single and Savage and heat embossed it in silver as well. I tried adding some details in white gel pen around some of the diecuts but it want showing up very well.
To finish off my spread I glued my quote over my cards.
I think all the background texture came out perfect and I love this quote!

I'm using the Single & Savage and the Lucky stamp sets. I chose a simple three color palette. I used the scalloped border stamp in the Lucky set on another card, and of cousrse got orange ink onto the pink. So instead of letting that go to waste I fussy cut the borders out.
I added foam dots behind each one and out them onto a light pink panel. Then I popped that up with foam tape.
I heat embossed the sentiment from Single & Savage and double up the foam tape on it.
]]>To begin, I cut a piece of white cardstock to measure 6x8 and then I scored it in half. Next, I used inks and blending brushes through a stencil I had in my stash to create the fun background. Then, I added the sentiment in black.
Next, I used a knife to cut a slit between the fold of the card so that I could feed the ribbon through the inside of the card.
Here is what it looks like...
I do this so the ribbon isn't bulky against the card. And I used a min stapler to staple the ribbon in place before tying the ribbon. I stapled a puffy heart sticker above the sentiment to fill in some of the space.
To complete the card, I glued a tiny gem next to the heart.

]]>For today's card I used a sentiment from Single & Savage to inspire a craft themed card. I combined the sentiment with elements from Holly Pixels Art Supplies and Basics: Collage Elements to create a free edge card design.
For the background I ink blended light grey ink through a heart stencil, then made an impression in my die cut machine with an embossing mat for slight dimension.
For the black and white striped paper on the right side, I used the hexagon from Basics: Collage Elements and only stamped the top of the shape. I loved the texture of the sketchy outline, and wanted to use it in a stripe pattern.
I made a standard a2 side fold card base, then cut one inch off of the card front. I adhered the striped paper to the inside of the card, so it will be seen when the card is closed.
Now that the base is done, we can start on the focal elements to create the free edge. I stamped images from Holly Pixels Art Supplies onto bristol smooth cardstock using versafine onyx black ink.
I colored the images in rainbow order using Arteza real brush pens, then fussy cut each out.
To add silver to the caps and shimmer to the bottles I used Gansai Tambi metallic watercolor.
I glued all of the art supplies together, adding foam tape to one side. The foam tape will go on the card base. I colored the other side with a black marker, to cover up the messy back. This will show when the card is opened.
I attached the art supplies to the edge of the card front. The sentiment that inspired the whole card is from Single & Savage. I white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut it into a banner.
As a finishing touch I added tons of clear sequins, some tucked in between elements and some on the right side so they will be seen when the card is open.
We can't forget about the inside! I used the same light grey ink to stamp the art supplies, then added a secondary sentiment also from Holly Pixels Art Supplies. You can also see how the free edge looks from the inside.
BONUS CARD!
I used a similar free edge design on this coffee card, using Ink Road Mug Life. This set is retired now, but I know lots of you have it in your collection! Remember, you can create this free edge design with any images you have.
Thanks so much for coming to the blog today! I hope this encourages you to try a free edge card.

]]>Nolana here with a tutorial using the Waves Background Stamp, Heroes Volume 1 and the Hello from Bella Floral Frame.
I wanted the Waves to the the highlight of the spread and I thought they'd be perfect as the background of a pocket and as a border.
I started by creating the border for the scrapbook/story page. I used 4 distress oxides - Iced Spruce Speckled Egg Blue, Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina.
I placed washi tape 1 inch away from the edge of the stamp in a perpendicular manner.
Then placed ink in an ombre fashion on the edges. I used my Stamping Tool and it stamped perfectly. Then I turned the page around to the diagonal corner and did this again.
From this, I created the pocket, I used the entire stamp and a piece of white cardstock to the size of the stamp.
Using embossing ink and my stamp tool, I stamped the paper, then added Egyptian Turquoise Embossing Powder to the top, and embossed using my heat tool.
Following this, I used a piece of Vellum and embossed Hello "I still believe in Heroes" and stuck this on to the top of the pocket.
Then I stuck the pocket on to the background and allowed to dry.
At this point, I worked on my journaling for my pocket card. I sized my card to 3inch x 4 inch in Canva, and printed and cut down to size. I then used an index tab and stamped Thank You So Much from the Sentiment strips on the tag label using Salvaged Patina and stuck this to the top of the index tab.
And voila! I slipped the journal card in the pocket and punched the holes to add to my Story Album.

I love background stamps. Watercolor is one of my favorite mediums, and background stamps work so well with loose watercolor. This stamp has a lot of wavy lines that would be perfect to design as waves, topographic maps, or gem stones, but I went with rainbow colors. I have colorshift watercolors that look like they are one color until you tilt the paper, then they shimmer into another! As soon as I saw this background, I knew I wanted to use them with it.
I stamped the background with clear embossing ink on black watercolor paper. I heat set with silver embossing powder, then painted in stripes of color that overlapped so they could blend. I let the background dry, then carefully wiped over the lines with a damp cloth to try and remove any watercolor that dried over the embossing. I wasn't completely successful but that's okay--it's so pretty that it's easy to overlook any excess watercolor.
I mounted my background on a black card base with foam tape. Then I stamped my sentiment on vellum with Staz-on and mounted that on a scrap of holographic foil cardstock. I used adhesive on the back of the scrap and wrapped the vellum around the sides so I didn't have to worry about adhesive showing through the vellum. I used foam tape to pop the sentiment up on the background, and voila! The end result is a colorful, shimmery card that I would be proud to gift to any of my loved ones.
This is a versatile background that can be used with any sentiment. I consider it a must-have for my collection. Head over to Ink Road Stamps and grab yours today! Use the code BriannaJ10 during checkout to save 10% on this set (or any other). I can't wait to see what you create!
]]>To make this card I started with playing with distress ink. I used watercolor paper and chose different blue and green distress inks and a light yellow ink. I smooshed the ink onto my large acrylic block and spritzed with water and then moved my water color paper every which way drying completely with my heat gun before starting a new color. This allowed me to get the texture I wanted. Then I chose a stamp that is small circles in a cluster from the 'Basic Collage Elements Vol 1' stamp set. I used the darkest blue ink that I had used in my ink smooshing and randomly stamped the circles all around my background. Then, I let this fully dry. I prepped the entire surface of the card with my anti-static bag and using the 'Wavy' background stamp I stamped the wavy lines with Versamark ink onto the background and then covered it with fine white embossing powder and then set it with my heat gun. At this point, I used a die that I have with various size circles all together to get multiple circle sizes of the background.
Whenever I get a new stamp set, I will cover an entire sheet of heavy card stock or watercolor paper with all of the images. And then, whenever I had downtime and was able to color I will pull a sheet out and color the images and then fussy cut them if I do not have the coordinating die set. Most of the time my media of choice is watercolor. So, these cute little Purrmaids were ones that were in my stash already colored and ready to be used.
I used white card stock as my background and used a bubble embossing folder to emboss subtle bubble circles onto my background. I matted it with mirrored light blue card stock and using liquid adhesive attached to my card base. I sifted through all of the little random sized circles I had made earlier and using liquid adhesive glued some in a random pattern on the left side of the card. Then, I chose a few other different size circles and popped them up with foam double stick adhesive. One of the smaller circles I doubled up the foam adhesive and popped it up higher then all of the other circles. I used a nice sea foam green card stock and stamped the sentiment "Somebody Royally Forked Up" from the stamp set 'Lint Licker' and used an oval die to cut out the sentiment and gave it some dimension with some double sided foam adhesive. I put my cute little Purrmaid directly onto the white card stock base with liquid adhesive.
I rarely put anything on the inside of the cards I make, however, this one demanded something on the inside. So, using the perfect sentiment from the stamp set 'Belated' I prepped the inside of the card with anti-static powder, stamped in black ink and then covered the sentiment in clear embossing powder and heat set it using my heat gun.
On the bottom right, I positioned another Purrmaid image and then removed it and stamped some green leafy seaweed to peak out behind her. I put her back where I envisioned her and then stuck her down using liquid adhesive. Using the same tiny circle cluster I did on the front of the card I stamped what looks like bubbles coming from the cutest little Purrmaid.
My final step was to use clear Nuvo drops around the sentiment on the front. I thought this added a nice finishing touch.
I hate to miss anyone's birthday, but I almost want to just to give them this card!

]]>Celia from Paper Beats Rock Designs here to share my process for making these quick cards using the Wavy Stamp along with You're The Dopest , Cheeky Holiday, and diecuts or punches from your stash.
I wasn't sure what kind of card I wanted to make, because this Wavy background is so versatile! I makes me think of smoke, water, magic, wrapping paper; I was on idea overload! So, instead of trying to make a card with just one theme, I decided to make 2 drastically different cards and grabbed out High Maintainance and Festive as Fuck.
I used my diecutting plate to stamp my Wavy background on 2 card fronts and used 2 different powders to emboss them.
Next, I went to my stash of diecut and punched circles and grabbed out 3 for each card.
To make each layer stand out from one another I decided to heat emboss a circle from each card. I rolled them across my very dirty ink pad...
...then covered the edge in the coordinating embossing powder.
I love the added sparkle it gives. After that I took another circle from each card and inked their edges.
For my You're The Dopest card, I cut the sentiment from the Smoking Girl image and embossed her into vellum with lavender powder.
For my Cheeky Christmas card, I stamped out a candy cane from the set, colored it with alcohol markers, added, details with gel pens, and then fussy cut it out.
I added a bit if dimension using think craft foam between each layer of circles.
To make sure the adhesive wouldn't show though the vellum I used a glue pen just along my smoking girl image.
Then it was time to add sentiments, so I embossed each using the coordinating powder on a step piece of paper and glued them to the card fronts.
Lastly, I added some rhinestones and enamel dots for more sparkle! I love how these cards came out and how different they are from one another even though they are basically exactly the same.
I can't wait to make a buuuunch more cards and crafts with the Wavy stamp! Head on over to the Ink Road Shop and snag this one, and remember to tag us on Instagram so we can see whatcha make with it, #inkroadstamps
]]>I am using the Wavy background stamp that has yet to be released and the Basics: Sentiment Strips Separated.
I took a A2 sized panel and stamped the Wavy background with a light ink. Then the time consuming part happens. I took a gold and white gel pens and decided that it would a great idea, (which it was), and go over the lines with dots.
I admit I didn't think that it would take as long, but it did since I took several breaks. But you know what I LOVE it. Those tiny dots where soooooooooo worth it. The gel pens give a shine and texture to the card.
I did trim the panel down a little since I smeared the gel pen. I wanted this GORGEOUS background to really be the focal, so I kept the sentiment simple and small.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Basics: Sentiment Strips Separated, added foam tape, and put in the lower middle.
]]>My first Halloween card of the year! I used this super fun Wavy Background along with Full Moon to create a card inspired by one of my favorite movies…Hocus Pocus!
I started by Wavy Background onto bristol smooth card stock in Versafine onyx black ink and clear heat embossing on top.
I used Distress Oxide inks and liquid glitter to watercolor the background, changing color each stripe.
Using the same 3 Distress Oxide inks I stamped this image from Full Moon. After stamping I added several layers of clear heat embossing for a smooth shiny dimensional look. I white heat embossed a sentiment, also from Full Moon, onto a die cut black rectangle.
I added a black border to the background and adhered it to an A2 card base. I added craft foam to the focal point so it would stand up from the background.
As a finishing touch I added clear confetti sequins scattered around the focal point. Look at all the sparkle and shine this card has! It really shows in the sun.
For the inside I stamped another sentiment from Full Moon, and added strips of washi tape in coordinating colors.
BONUS CARD!
I don’t have a tutorial for this card, as it was created last year, but it also uses Full Moon. I still love this card a year later!

Let's end with what we learned:
* Experimentation leads us to very unlikely and exciting places. If we only ever create what has already been created before then is it really creative? Yes! But we can take it a step further and feel even more fulfilled and thrilled by the process of trying something we haven't tried before and getting new results. It stretches us creatively and will likely give us a whole new perspective.
* Personalized photo cards are so much fun to make and give people. Including a photo in your creations can elevate a simple card (something that many people toss out after reading) and make it into a gift in itself.
* Washi Tape and Gelly Roll pens are my love language (but we knew that).
Ok my lovely friends,
We love you! Create something everyday!
xoxo,
Steph Low

I wanted to keep the background simple, so I used black pigment ink and clear, glittery embossing powder to stamp and heat set my sentiment on watercolor paper. Then I picked out three oxide ink colors that would blend to make a background reminiscent of tie dye: Salvaged Patina, Seedless Preserves, and Spiced Marmalade.
I applied my inks to my multimedia mat, spritzed with water, then smooshed my watercolor panel against them. I heat set between layers and cleaned any muddy mixes off my mat with a paper towel. I ink smooshed two layers with the same ink before cleaning my mat and using fresh ink for my last layer so I wouldn't lose any vibrancy to mixed colors.
This was a fun card to make and I love all of the color variations in the background! It makes me think of tie dyeing t-shirts with good friends. For my final touches, I added clear Nuvo drops here and there. Once dry, I mounted my panel to a white card base. This card is so colorful but when the glittery embossing and shiny drops catch the light, it takes it to a whole new level!

]]>I always try and make a quick and easy card. This one started out with those two criteria in mind. Although it wasn't under thirty minutes, it didn't exceed an hour either! So, kind of a win?
For the background I simply covered every inch of the card front with different color ink and different size circles. I created a handmade stencil by tracing five different size circles onto recycled acetate that was part of packaging from a stamp set. Using blending brushes I moved my stencil around my card front changing up my ink colors as I went. Once I was satisfied I decided to pool some water in my cupped palm and then sprinkle around on top of the ink. I let it sit and reactivate the ink for a couple of seconds and then using a paper towel I dabbed up all the water and with it came some of the ink which left a speckled image behind.
I cut apart some plastic packaging from a stamp set large enough to be able to wrap around my card front. Laying the plastic down on my desk and then laying my card front face down on top of the plastic, I applied double stick tape to three side of my card leaving one open. I snuggly pulled the plastic around my three edges and stuck down onto the adhesive. At this point I decided to add my sentiment. I positioned my card in my stamp platform tool because I was worried I wouldn't get a good enough impression the first time I stamped because I was stamping on plastic. I chose to use Stazon Ink because it is fast drying and can be stamped on almost any surface with pretty good results. As I predicted I had to stamp this sentiment 'Lucky' two times to get a decent result. It is still slightly blotchy, but I couldn't get it perfect so I had to be okay with that.
I put some coordinating sequin inside and then adhered the final side to the back of the card front with double stick tape. I used gold glitter card stock as my mat and as a last minute thought I cut a frame from the glitter gold card stock and positioned it around my sentiment using liquid adhesive to stick it down.
Thank you for taking time to check out the techniques I used for this card. You can use discount code BriannaF10 and get a 10% off at Ink Road Stamps.
]]>Celia from Paper Beats Rock Designs here to y'all how I put together this mixed media scrapbook layout using the Lucky Stamp by Ink Road Stamps as my title.
First, I grabbed a few papers in coordinating colors
I used the distressed grey for my background and cut the hounds tooth grey with the torn edge to cover a little less than half of the page.
I never know how to use these papers with designated spots for things, so I cut the paper down to mount my photo on different parts and patterns.
I cut around the gold "tape" on the black part to tuck my photo into, then inked and distressed the other layers to add dimension.
Next I used my diecutting plate (since I don't have a block big enough or a Misti) to stamp then emboss my title onto dark grey cardstock with white embossing powder.
After I fussy cut out my title and arranged it and my photo where I wanted them to go, I went into my stash of hearts and pulled out a bunch in grey, vellum, white, gold and black.
I wanted to add more interest so I grabbed my white gesso and spread it along the triangle the hearts had created with a silicone brush.
When that was dry, I sprayed some black ink on top of the gesso, spread it with a few spritzes of water, then dabbed it up with a paper towel. Some ink went under the hounds tooth pattern but I will cover that oopsie up with embellishments.
While waiting for the background to dry, I grabbed out some labels from my stash. I also stamped out a few labels onto the awkward paper from before and fussy cut them out.
Then it was time to glue everything down. I tucked a few of the labels to the top right of my photo and the left of my title to cover the excess ink.
I also tucked a few labels behind the hearts so the top ones weren't so random.
I felt like it was missing something, so, to add some more texture I grabbed some thick upholstery thread and made three bundles around the page.
To finish it off, I splattered some white acrylic ink around the layout, and stamped a border across the top with the scallops from the Lucky set. I love the way this came out and how bold the Lucky stamp is! It makes for a great title as well as a card sentiment.
Make sure to check out the Lucky stamp as well as all the new additions to the Ink Road Shop. And if you have an idea for a stamp set, join the Roadies Facebook group and add it to the poll!
]]>I'm using the Lucky stamp set.
I cut a panel of cardstock and took the two scalloped borders and repeat stamped them. Then I gold heat embossed the giant sentiment on vellum and fussy cut it out.
I popped the panel up with foam and used liquid glue to added the sentiment.
]]>I have been in a Mixed Media mood lately, so I created this acetate front trifold card to show off a fun background. I used Lucky and BASICS: Collage Elements Vol 1 stamp sets.
I started with a piece of 8.5” x 5.5” piece of card stock, and ink smooshed with Distress Oxide inks to create a background.
I chopped up the background into small squares, using scissors so they wouldn’t be even. I’m looking for some different sizes and shapes here.
I glued all of the squares onto an A2 card front, overlapping the edges to cover the background completely.
I used the darker ink from the background and smooshed it onto my glass mat with a spritz of water to create a watercolor. I painted around each of the shape and let the color soak into the edges of each square.
I stamped on the background using both inks to create even more texture. The stamps are from BASICS: Collage Elements Vol 1. I used the darker ink to stamp around the edges to create a border.
I used StazOn permanent ink to stamp Lucky onto acetate.
I scored the acetate, then used strong double sided tape to adhere it to the card base. I placed a piece of washi over the adhesive to cover the ugly seam.
The finished card base has an acetate front that opens to the left, then a mixed media background that opens to the right.
I added an assortment of gold sequins and gems around the sentiment to finish off this card.
Here is how it opens, I am in love with this background!

]]>My littlest sister is one of the most important people in my life. On a darker note, she has a jaded past. She got wrapped up with some terrible choices and unfortunately it consumed her life for over 10 years. It lead to a strained relationship between her and I, her and our parents and her and my kiddos.
Unfortunately, too many people can relate to my story, and more so, too many people do not find themselves out of these bad life decisions and find themselves in prison, or worse...dead.
On a lighter note, this, fortunately, hasn't been the case for my sister. She was on a path of self help with several failed attempts. When, during a good period, she found herself pregnant. Let me tell you, I was so very scared. I knew that she had it in her to be an amazing and wonderful mother, but, with a short time of sobriety, I was so very worried and concerned that the additional stresses with motherhood would break her. Boy was I wrong! She has overcome all of the hardships and all of the stressors. She is now four years clean, she has a beautiful family with two babies and two step children whom she adores. She has a meaningful career to which she is licensed in counseling troubled women with addiction. She takes her job seriously and she really cares deeply in helping women come up from where she once found herself. Anyway, I could go on and on with how proud I am of her and how there was a time when I truly had no hope that I would ever get my sister, my best friend, one of the best people I have ever known, back. But, here we are today, and I can say, I do believe in miracles.
This card is a tribute to her. It is a little goofy, but from the heart all the same. I decided to make her a card to honor how much I see her growth. I thought, she is such a hero in my eyes. For her nieces and nephews, for her sisters and brother, for her own children and for the women she is trying to help every single day. For this card, I took a picture of my sister and used a 'cartoon app' to filter her head shot. I got the perfect black and white outline of her face, I sized it using the canva app, printed it and then used my one inch circle die and cut around her face.
I wanted the background to look like air blowing. Keeping the image of superheros flying through the air in my mind (though I am aware not all super heroes fly), I decided to use a few different light blue distress ink colors for my background. I used my very large acrylic stamp block and smooshed my ink colors in various places on the block and then spritzed with water. I had a good play at this for quite some time, turning my card front every which way, sometimes using my heat gun to dry the layers in between quickly to get more texture. Then, once it was to my liking, I made sure it was completely dry, prepped the card front with my anti-static bag and used the 'Wavy' background stamp with Versamark ink and immediately covered it with fine white embossing powder and heat set it with my heat gun.
Then, I cut five 2x3" rectangles of white heavy weight card stock. I wasn't precise with this, I just eyeballed it, I didn't even care if my lines were straight. Then, the fun started. I picked out different colors of distress ink, what I thought each super hero logos would look best in. Using my extra large acrylic stamp block I smooshed the coordinating colors one super hero at a time. I gave the ink a few spritz of water and then smooshed one of the pieces of card stock into the ink, turning it every which way until I got an ink splatter that I liked best. I cleaned off my acrylic block and repeated this process with different coordinating colors for each superhero I intended to use as well as over the picture I created and printed of my sister.
Before stamping each image, I allowed the paper to thoroughly dry and then I prepped my card stock with an anti-static bag. Then, I stamped five of my favorite super hero logos from the 'Full Circle: Assemble Vol 1' stamp set each on each rectangle with black ink, covered with clear embossing powder and heat set with my heat gun. I chose orange and purple ink for my sister's picture since those are her favorite colors.
I did not have a circle die that would cut the exact circle I wanted of the superhero logo, so I fussy cut each of them. I did use my 1" circle die to cut six circles from dark blue card stock to mat each superhero and my sisters face. Then I arranged them onto my card front. I decided to mat my card with shiny gold card stock and then adhered to my white card base.
I used various stamp sets to piece together the sentiment. And used tiny alphabet dies to cut out the word mom three times from white card stock and stacked and glued them together to give them a bit of dimension. I used some blue ink to blend over my sentiment strip and the letters M O M. I used the same shiny gold as I did to mat my card front and matted my sentiment strip with it as well. Finally, I used a gold pen and traced over the word Mom.
This card was certainly a little out of the box and probably kind of goofy considering I had to turn my sisters face into a cartoon! But, I am so proud of her and wanted to celebrate how much she means to me!
Thank you so much for reading my story. If there is anyone in your life that is struggling with self-destruction and bad life decisions, have hope. Love them, set boundaries and have hope. I truly didn't think we would ever find ourselves on the other side. And we have.

]]>Nolana here with a tutorial on how I made this spread.
I started with choosing my pictures for this page and the perfect sentiment was "I Love You 3000" in the Heroes Volume 1 stamp set.
I stamped this in a straight line next to my image using colours from the picture.
Then I worked on the tag booklet. I opened Canva to a page sized 6 x 8. I chose a tag from the graphic elements available, chose a colour suite to the spread and placed 4 tags on to my page sized at 3 inches wide.
Then I added stories on three of the tags and left one blank.
I printed this out, and stamped I love you from the Sentiments stamp set as the background, and placed I love You 3000 on a strip of cardstock and embossed with Metalline Flame.
I punched the tags and put the booklet together with natural linen ribbon and attached to the page using raised sticky dots!
And voila!

]]>I cut a panel of light grey cardstock. I arranged the stamps in a grid layout. I stamped them in a light grey ink a few times. Then I added some more ink on the edges of the panel.
I heat embossed the sentiment form the Heroes1 set. I popped both the panel and sentiment up with foam tape.

Original and Pastel Sublimation Markers
Sublimation Ink Pad
Plain Copy Paper
Heat Source: Artesprix Heat Press, Dry Iron, or Home Iron
What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers?
Magic Ink that transfers their beautiful colors from plain copy paper to a polyester product with a heat source. Iron-on-Ink Markers are the way to personalize sublimation, which is specially formulated inks that transfer only when activated with heat.
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1. Place the Poly Canvas Zip Case on a piece of plain copy paper and trace the outline using a pencil to determine the area that you have to work on.
Step 2. Stamp the images onto the copy paper using Sublimation Ink.
Step 3. The ink may look a little muted...that's OK! Once it goes through the heat press, the colors will be vibrant!
Step 4: Use the Sublimation Markers to color in your images. I used a fine tip black sublimation marker to go around the circles a few times. to make them bolder.
Step 5: I used a tracing application on my phone to take a picture of the stamp. Then I was able to flip it to mirror and trace the image over my phone for the text! Super cool!! And you can zoom the screen to make the text larger. I wish I had discovered this application sooner!
Step 6: Using the Artesprix Heat Tape, tape your blank down to your design. Next, Create your sublimation sandwich. Cut two pieces of Protective Paper to cover your project on the top and bottom. Place a small piece of protective paper inside the canvas to prevent the ink from bleeding through the canvas.
Step 7. Turn your heat press on and set the temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and the timer for 45 seconds.
Step 8. Place it inside the Heat Press (making sure the zipper is placed on the outer edge of the heat press) and close the machine. The Heat Press will beep indicating that your project is finished!
Step 6. While wearing protective gloves, lift the handle and remove your Poly-Canvas Zip Case. Place it on the Protective Project Mat and give it about 2 minutes to cool down. Gently remove protective paper to reveal your vivid design!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Ok well we came, we assembled, we conquered! Landis was about two in this photo and today he is 13 and I am fully in my feelings today! He was so little funny and goofy! Photos like this remind me of those precious times.
What did we LEARN!?
--Embossing powder left overs SHOULD NEVER be thrown out! Collect that and make a special little container for it. I use little tiny zip-lock baggies. You could use an old medication bottle or if you have an empty embossing powder bottle then SCORE!
--Super Hero designs don't NEED to be bold and colorful. This neutral color scheme was so fun to use and I think it helps to keep the focus on his photo and not the design.
--Old family photos WILL make you happy and ugly cry and that is just simply OK!
Ok friends. We love you. We need you. We adore you!
xoxo

]]>The sentiments in this set are hilarious and the one I picked is no exception. Perfect for snarky moods and snarky cards! I wanted to let the sentiment be the star and I'm always happy to find a use for patterned paper, so I decided to keep this one simple. I chose three pieces of coordinating patterned paper and a kraft card base. I carefully tore the edges of the patterned paper so they would stack together but show off the previous piece of paper. I adhered each with foam tape, so this card has plenty of layers and interest.
I stamped my sentiment on white cardstock with black ink, matted with pink cardstock that matched the patterned paper, and adhered my sentiment to the background. To finish the card off, I used three pink enamel dots.
This was a fairly simple card to make, but the end result is stunning with a lot of texture. If you're ever struggling with a background, dip into that trusty stash of patterned paper and use it! This would work with a variety of sentiments and needs no coloring or stamped images. You could go the extra mile and make your own coordinating patterned paper with stamps and coloring, but I need excuses to use my stash of patterned paper.
Nab this set (or any others--the entire Roadie collection is full of hilarious sentiments) at Ink Road Stamps and use the code BriannaJ10 at checkout to save a sweet 10% on your order! Can't wait to see what you create!
